Frank Dale

Councillor Frank Dale was appointed to serve as a Regional representative on the Regional Municipality of Peel Police Services Board on December 18, 2006.

Councillor Dale is a lifelong resident of Mississauga. He was first elected to Mississauga City Council in 1988 and is now serving in his seventh term.

Councillor Dale became involved in municipal politics because of his long-time commitment to the community and desire to represent his ward at the municipal level. He has had many achievements as the Councillor for Ward 4, including the City Centre Plan which outlines development that will ensure a well planned city core and creates a more vibrant, exciting place for residents. Councillor Dale was instrumental in the implementation of two police sub-stations, a new transit terminal located at Square One, the establishment of an Older Adult Centre and the Square One Youth Centre, as well as being a founding member of the Mississauga Youth Theatre (MYT).

Councillor Dale serves as the Chair of the Region of Peel Planning Committee and is proud of the approval and implementation of the Region of Peel's Official Plan. He sits on the Toronto Regional Conservation Authority board, acts as Vice Chair of the City's Traffic Safety Council, and is also on the Board of Directors for the Living Arts Centre. In addition, Councillor Dale is also a member of several Region of Peel committees including the Court of Revision Committee and serves on the Board of Directors for Peel Living.
