Satwinder Gosal
Mr. Satwinder Gosal was appointed to the Regional Municipality of Peel Police Services Board, as a provincial appointee, effective September 3, 2008. A Mississauga resident Mr. Gosal is a Partner with the Mississauga law firm, Racioppo Zuber Coetzee Dionne, where he practices real estate and corporate-commercial law.
Mr. Gosal is involved in numerous community and professional activities. He is a past Director and Executive Member of the Peel Multicultural Council (PMC), and Past Chair of the PMC Social Housing Project. He is a Trustee with the Carassauga Multicultural Festival and Chair of the City of Mississauga Election Campaign Finances Committee.
Mr. Gosal is a contributing writer to a number of publications on Sikh culture and the Sikh experience in Canada, including Sikh Immigration to Canada. He was recognized by the PMC and the South Asian Teachers’ Organization for his outstanding contribution in Anti-Racism initiatives and is a frequent presenter on education and race-related issues including periodic appearances on CBC Radio.
A graduate of Queen’s University, Mr. Gosal studied law at the University of Windsor and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1990. An avid scholar, he received a number of academic honours and awards, and continues with his life long involvement and interest in a number of sports. |
